My name is Jess. I am the official author behind this blog, The Road Jess Traveled.
I have never felt like the societal prescription of “go to college/get a job/immediately settle down” was for me. While still accomplishing those wonderful things, I have always followed my heart to create my own individualized (and seemingly unconventional) timeline.
When the pandemic turned our worlds upside down, I scored myself a remote job, packed a suitcase, and now my boyfriend and I live a “nomad lifestyle” – meaning we stay in Air B&B’s for a month at a time in different places around the world.
Calling this dream a reality is one of the best physical manifestations I have ever experienced. And we are just getting started!
The name of the blog, The Road Jess Traveled, refers to one’s life path (The Road), the soul experiencing it (in this case, Jess), and the adventures & life lessons that evolve along the way. (Traveled)
This blog is ultimately intended to be a space for growth, community, inspiration, and expansion – all while showing you new corners of the world to add to your bucket list!
Fun Fact #1: I grew up in Buffalo, New York - so pizza, chicken wings, snow, and the Buffalo Bills/Sabres have always been constants in my life.
Fun Fact #2: Our annual family vacation was always to Disney, and I fell so in love that I worked in the parks for 7 years in roles like VIP Tours, Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique, and Attractions.
Fun fact #3: Naturally, being obsessed with magic and serendipity, my favorite thing to learn about is spirituality. Manifesting & the Laws of the Universe are fascinating to me!
Fun Fact 4: My love for documenting travel started back when I used to scrapbook with my Mom. As an adult, I've created all sorts of travel content including Disney trip reporting, photography, blogging, video creation, and podcasting!
